Cobalt and Lime

This is some outfit inspiration for anyone who is bold enough to wear bright colours! I wore this outfit to a friends birthday party because although it screamed FUN (with bright eye catching colours) it was also very elegant and chic with the clutch and heels and long flowing maxi skirt. I was somewhat confused and indecisive about what to wear, as all girls usually are before any party or major event. Therefore mixing elegance with a pop of colour is a great way to celebrate in style- I found this outfit to be both suitable for both day and evening.

In any special occasion heels and a clutch are a definite must!! These minute but effective little details instantly make any outfit more than a little ordinary.

These blue heels are great for adding a bit of colour to your outfit! I can definitely picture these heels with an all black outfit too because that pop of colour will make it stand out add a matching scarf or bag and you're set.

Absolutely in love with this lime green blouse!! Be prepared to see this being starred in more outfit posts :D

This Maxi skirt was discovered in the teens section of New Look, during which time this colour maxi skirt was rarely seen. However, as of late and practically straight after I purchased this skirt I saw many more similar ones namely from Primark and also the women's section of new look. But I was still satisfied with my skirt, it was a perfect fit as it had an elasticated waist. TIP; when you aren't sure as to which size you should get an elasticated waist is a sure way to fight the uncertainty and I also find them to be quite slimming.

Accessories, and in my case; RINGS, are a must to jazz up any outfit

Sodi's Gems Review

I was sent the most amazing hijab pins by the lovely and beautiful Soudi and I instantly fell in love. These intricate hijab pins are a statement piece and must have for any hijabi or non-hijabi alike as its great for accessorising clothes therefore not only limited to hijabis!!
The packaging of the products was beautifully and hand wrapped to ensure there was no damage to the products upon arrival.

Most of the products came in this beautiful cute hijab travel tin! so convenient for those of us who often need an  emergency back up pin for bad hijab days or just the occasional misplacing of your pins (like me). Its very small and can fit in a handbag or pocket so is perfect for taking along on days out.

These round non-snag hijab safety pins are amazinnnngg!! They're perfect for those of us who use safety pins, this ensures the security that normal safety pins provide without the hassle of 'wholly' scarf at the end of the day- which is usually the case with normal safety pins.

Here are a few of the beautiful simple, durable for every day wear, hijab pins I received;

There is a bronze peace pin, bronze moustache pin, a rhinestone bow pin and a spike hijab pin. I absolutely adore all these pins!! great for everyday wear, keep your eyes peeled for these hijab pins in any outfit posts I may have in the very near future.

the moustache hiab pin x who else is still crazy about the moustache trend.

\
I was also sent these wonderful hijab bow hijab pins!!!
Y'all know about me n my undying love for bows.... eeeek!! so I was super excited when I received these. These pins are so durable for anyone!! be it a hijabi or non- hijabi. and for anyone who isn't brave enough to rock a bow tie, why not have a go at at rocking a bow pin??!! I used the pin on my pocket to accessorise the shirt, giving a great pop of colour and unique twist!

HOW AMAZING IS THIS ANTIQUE IVORY STONE HIJAB PIN?

One of my most favoured hijab pins was this antique ivory stone pin. so intricately designed and wearable. Great for instantly jazzing up any outfit. and so perfect for special occasions too! I paired it with a purple and tan outfit because I personally feel that antique gold and purple compliment each other rather nicely.

Last but certainly not least is my absolute favourite hijab pin frpm Sodi's gems. This Rajisthan inspired yellow hijab pin is to die for... this is the pin that I recommend for any special occasion. Its so stunning!!!

Bow ties and braces

As you may know from looking at my blog before I have an undeniable love for bow ties and braces and all things geeky. As of late I have not posted or worn any such outfits and so I decided today would be the day! I miss my bow ties, they have been stored away for far too long and it is my responsibility to see to it that they are not forgotten. I browsed through some images and came across one in particular- note that this image was in fact menswear, and as a result I had to put my own hijabi twist to the outfit..... "Menswear Hijabified". Hope you like this outfit as much as I did :).

Everything is pretty much the same apart from the fact that I had chosen to wear a maxi skirt as opposed to jeans. I also wore braces which cannot be seen in this picture.

Flower Power

So, as the weather takes a turn better, in Britain everyone pretty much takes advantage of the few minutes of sunshine which are bestowed upon us. And what better way is there to brave the sun, than with floral prints- a must have staple in any girls wardrobe whether it be a top, bottom or even accessories.. Personally prints in particular are becoming a favourite and on the top of my list of desired prints it has to be the infamous floral pattern. Below I have selected a few of my most-loved floral outfits....

Layering and floral: .. (This was a winter look- who says floral is just to be seen during summer?? LOL) as you can tell my maxi skirt is quite colourful and as a result there was no need to overdo the outfit in the colour department. Hence, I teamed the outfit with the colour black in effect this allows the floral design to stand out more and be more prominent.

olive blazer- Forever 21
Leather jacket- Miss selfridge
Skirt-Primark

This is another outfit with the same skirt, I added a few more accessories such as the statement necklace and I also wore a khaki hijab to match some of the colours in the skirt. I would recommend this look for those of you who prefer a much more formal look. this look is also more suited for summer than the outfit before it.

MAXI SKIRT- Primark

Another example of a floral outfit... floral printed blazers. dress down by pairing the blazer with head-to-toe black or dress up and be daring!!! the choice is totally upto you. I personally think this blazer could suit anyone. depends on your own personal preference as to how you would wear it.

Black jersey maxi skirt- H&M

spike necklace-Primark
floral ring- Forever21

mustard yellow shirt- Bershka

BLAZER- River Island

Once again I have paired the floral print with black allowing it to stand out, a very simple but effective look.

Here I have worn the same maxi skirt but this time paired it with a white blazer and tan bag perfect for a summery look.... adding light colours such as white tend to make any outfit more suitable for summer.

Yet another look with a floral blazer... one of my most favourite looks. mixing up the colours a little- be bold. although... this look is not recommended for summer as this look includes layering.

navy knit jumper- H&M
Skirt- River Island
BLAZER- Topshop

OKAY, so technically this isn't floral but paisley print is near enough and a great alternative to floral prints (for those who are truly averse to anything with flowers) and i truly love this shirt, hence the need to share it LOL.
