Flower Power

So, as the weather takes a turn better, in Britain everyone pretty much takes advantage of the few minutes of sunshine which are bestowed upon us. And what better way is there to brave the sun, than with floral prints- a must have staple in any girls wardrobe whether it be a top, bottom or even accessories.. Personally prints in particular are becoming a favourite and on the top of my list of desired prints it has to be the infamous floral pattern. Below I have selected a few of my most-loved floral outfits....

Layering and floral: .. (This was a winter look- who says floral is just to be seen during summer?? LOL) as you can tell my maxi skirt is quite colourful and as a result there was no need to overdo the outfit in the colour department. Hence, I teamed the outfit with the colour black in effect this allows the floral design to stand out more and be more prominent.

olive blazer- Forever 21
Leather jacket- Miss selfridge

This is another outfit with the same skirt, I added a few more accessories such as the statement necklace and I also wore a khaki hijab to match some of the colours in the skirt. I would recommend this look for those of you who prefer a much more formal look. this look is also more suited for summer than the outfit before it.

Another example of a floral outfit... floral printed blazers. dress down by pairing the blazer with head-to-toe black or dress up and be daring!!! the choice is totally upto you. I personally think this blazer could suit anyone. depends on your own personal preference as to how you would wear it.

BLAZER- River Island

Once again I have paired the floral print with black allowing it to stand out, a very simple but effective look.

Here I have worn the same maxi skirt but this time paired it with a white blazer and tan bag perfect for a summery look.... adding light colours such as white tend to make any outfit more suitable for summer.

Yet another look with a floral blazer... one of my most favourite looks. mixing up the colours a little- be bold. although... this look is not recommended for summer as this look includes layering.

BLAZER- Topshop

OKAY, so technically this isn't floral but paisley print is near enough and a great alternative to floral prints (for those who are truly averse to anything with flowers) and i truly love this shirt, hence the need to share it LOL.
