A Walk in the Park

Finally British weather has decided to stay steady for a while and as the sun decided to shine upon the fortunate residents of London, I thought it would only be fair to make use of the warm weather. What better way to waste away a few hours of summer than to wind down with your family and have a picnic in the park? I had been meaning to wear this long chiffon cardigan I purchased a long time ago and I never really found the occasion until the very fateful day...

I received some AMAZING products from the lovely people at Resham Collection! Keep your eyes peeled for a 10% discount code at the end of this review, the details of their website and other deets. I was sent their 'persian peacock' print hijab along with the beautiful 'blue china' hijab and my favourite piece the pastel tassel bracelet and a tribal multicoloured necklace!

I absolutely adore the tribal necklace! so prefect for summer and any occasion I styled it with a colorful ensemble to work with the necklace.

Tribal print necklace!

The necklace added an wow factor to the whole outfit. I love necklaces and I believe that it always brings an outfit together!

As stated before the pastel tassel bracelet is by far my favourite (and on sale on the Resham Collection website). It's so simple and yet so stunning! Accessories are a must in my book!

I styled my outfit with the beautiful blue china hijab as a neck scarf! if you are one to opt for a simple outfit, i definitely suggest jazzing it up with a printed neck scarf/ hijab because it makes such a huge difference.

I wore the persian peacock scarf in a turban and I am absolutely in  love with it! Its so colourful and definielt a must have in any hijabis wardrobe :)

A new Bow

If you haven't realised already I have a love of bow ties and all things geeky.... don't believe me check out my previous posts ;)

I admit I do enjoy the odd dress ups where my style is less geeky but I always come back to the bow every now and then. When I do style my outfits with a bow tie I try to make it my statement piece. I don't believe that enough women wear the bow tie and that bow ties are commonly worn by men, but I am personally very inspired by menswear and I am a firm believer that women can pull off 'the geek' just as well.

We can all put a little bit of ourselves into what we wear and make it our own.

Accessorising with geek glasses and a neck scarf

I wore a khaki turban in order to match the bow tie and accessorised with a long neck scarf which I believe compliments the outfit. I also wore a cobalt blue blazer and matching shoes because a little colour was necessary to bring the outfit together (and I love a bit of bold/bright colours).

The whole outfit- I love the way bold colours work extremely well with slightly dull/dark colours... try it with your outfits!

Modest Wedding Attire

Do you have that problem, when you find the perfect outfit but there's just that one thing wrong with it...
I bought a saree; a dress primarily worn by Asian women-consisting of several yards of light fabric which is draped around the body. The only thing wrong with it was that the blouse that it had come with was short sleeved and had a low back, all together not ideal for my taste. I bought it on a whim and after much deliberation with my mother, whom insisted that I buy it.
I then thought long and hard about how I could make this outfit hijab-friendly and remembered I had bought a turtle/polo neck jumper from UniQlo (which I adored) the material of the jumper alone has much to impress- 38% Polyester, 35% Acrylic, 18% Rayon, 9% Spandex.
It's very stretchy and slim fitting and looks great with just about anything. When I suggested the idea to a few people (saree with a jumper ? :/ ) they were a little skeptical. But I can honestly say they have all been converted to the idea :)

(wish I had taken better quality pictures of my fotd)

Paired with some simple make up, some Asian jewellery, heels and a must-have clutch.. I believe the outfit came together rather nicely

I recommend anyone who is looking for modesty with an Asian twist to try this!!!

Keep it under wraps x

I recieved some amazing products to review from the fabulous precious treasures; features on instagram and Facebook:

The goodies arrived in packages to ensure the products arrived safely.

The package consisted of accessories for myself; A bow ring and an infinity ring.
Accessory for my phone; a mini handbag headphone jack plug
Max Factor Stay Put matte lipstick in 'moonbeam'
Chocolate brown viscose maxi hijab.

This is by far the cutest thing for anyone who loves dressing up their phones!! For those of you whom have an endless collection of phone covers...... start collecting these!
This cute LV handbag headphone jack plug is a great accessory to any phone I also think that it is an ingenious product to gift to someone <3

This Max Factor stay put matte lipstick in the shade 'moonbeam' is perfect for summer. The light pink shade will definitely look great with natural summer make up. It has a slight shimmer to it which I find will look great in the sun!

I am absolutely in  love with these rings!! Be sure to look out for these among future outfit posts! So simple and yet so elegant and chic. I j'adore the infinity ring and I find that it will go perfectly with any outfit especially ones that are slightly more 'boyish' or 'less heels and more sneakers'. The gold bow ring is definitely bound to look great with matching gold necklaces.

The hijab: I definitely have an obvious love for viscose hijabs, I believe viscose hijabs are much easier to shape and maintain. I also find that throughout the day they tend to keep their shape, better than other hijabs of different materials, and therefore are adaptable to most hijab styles. They are also available in a wide range of colours and this chocolate brown colour from Precious treasures has taken my fancy.

Cobalt and Lime

This is some outfit inspiration for anyone who is bold enough to wear bright colours! I wore this outfit to a friends birthday party because although it screamed FUN (with bright eye catching colours) it was also very elegant and chic with the clutch and heels and long flowing maxi skirt. I was somewhat confused and indecisive about what to wear, as all girls usually are before any party or major event. Therefore mixing elegance with a pop of colour is a great way to celebrate in style- I found this outfit to be both suitable for both day and evening.

In any special occasion heels and a clutch are a definite must!! These minute but effective little details instantly make any outfit more than a little ordinary.

These blue heels are great for adding a bit of colour to your outfit! I can definitely picture these heels with an all black outfit too because that pop of colour will make it stand out add a matching scarf or bag and you're set.

Absolutely in love with this lime green blouse!! Be prepared to see this being starred in more outfit posts :D

This Maxi skirt was discovered in the teens section of New Look, during which time this colour maxi skirt was rarely seen. However, as of late and practically straight after I purchased this skirt I saw many more similar ones namely from Primark and also the women's section of new look. But I was still satisfied with my skirt, it was a perfect fit as it had an elasticated waist. TIP; when you aren't sure as to which size you should get an elasticated waist is a sure way to fight the uncertainty and I also find them to be quite slimming.

Accessories, and in my case; RINGS, are a must to jazz up any outfit
